The role:
This is a very exciting time to join us as we embark on scaling up allplants’ presence in physical retail. We’re looking to bring a Field Sales Account Manager into the team to lead the scale up of allplants in the independent retail channel.
This is a permanent opportunity, with an annual salary of £30,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience.
You will be the first Field Sales Account Manager at allplants and become the face of the brand with Independent Retail. You will grow the brand and give it visibility across key sites in London and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for hitting new monthly listing targets and weekly sales numbers, by identifying premium retail sites, such as health food stores, farm shops, delis and large convenience stores. You will build relationships with and work with the store managers and allplants team to execute best in class visibility using branded freezers. You will be responsible for driving the rate of sale through merchandising, samplings & team training.
This is a new area of business for allplants so there is a lot of white space to make your mark; in that sense you need to be a self starter, motivated to make the role your own and have a tangible impact for the business. There will be lots of scope to develop and grow in the role, your responsibilities will continually evolve, and we are pretty sure you will never get bored.
Reporting into the UK Retail Lead, you will work closely with the brand, logistics & finance team to land great listings in London & surrounding areas.
What you'll be doing
- Researching and planning: locating the best postcodes & stores to strategically launch allplants into the perfect retail spaces with great brand execution;
- Rapport building: Identify motivated store managers for listings and build brilliant relationships with every manager and customer, as the key face of the allplants brand;
- Excellent Execution: high level of organisation and project management required to ensure smooth and brilliant execution of new listings through working with allplants support team to offer seamless end to end retailer set up journey.
- Pipeline and Sales Reporting: Weekly and monthly reporting on channel & account performance vs targets, pipeline development, and reference back to objectives to ensure we are on-track to hit our goals. Spotting under performance and putting plans in place to rectify is equally important;
- Consumer & Retail Insights: Gain insights in-store and continually feed these back to the business, to grow sales and execute future strategy.;
- Forecasting: Be an input to monthly forecasting and annual planning to help the business shape the P&L, feeding into brand & financial planning cycles;
- Finger on the pulse: you will be passionate about the food industry and will stay up to date on the latest trends & what’s happening in store. You will be the eyes and ears of the allplants retail team;

Lead generation: Generating leads, landing new listings & driving existing customers. You will seek new seas of revenue growth across workplaces, catering, quick serve restaurants, food solution partners etc under the guidance of your manager
What you'll need*
- The role is predominantly field based with 1 day per week at home or in the office for planning. You'll need to be based in a commutable distance to central London and available to come into the office as needed.
- Previous experience in a sales role
- Engaging & persuasive communication skills, a natural relationship builder
- Results driven & tenacious: a strong desire to hunt down the best retail accounts and land and drive listings.
- Organised self-starter, you will be given support & the tools, but the onus is on you to plan your own diary and manage your own workload. Must be comfortable working alone.
- Resilient can-do attitude, comfortable dealing with difficult and challenging situations.
- A collaborative team player, you will be comfortable working cross functionally with the wider team to offer the best customer service to our retailers
- Entrepreneurial to think outside the box to problem solve and deliver great customer experiences
- You will be comfortable to make first contact with Store Managers to generate and convert leads
- Energy and enthusiasm to roll up your sleeves and get involved from day one.
- Full clean driving licence
